I have long suspected that cats are related to seals.
However, I have lacked proof. It was not until last weekend when we were returning up the coast on highway one that we came along about 500 Elephant Seals lounging on a beach near San Simeon that I got photographic evidence!
Obviously the connection is more than coincidental. They say repeatability is the key to scientific research. The next day our cats, courtesy of a warm laundry basket, proved my hypothesis.
I am publishing my results here, on this blog. I expect I will be receiving my Nobel Prize in the mail any day now.
